Battery technology is constantly evolving, thanks to more optimal use of available technologies and, tomorrow, to the advent of new electrochemicals (sodium ion, solid lithium ion, etc.).
With this in mind, Beeway has been designed in such a way as to be easily adaptable to new developments. Already, we have two distinct battery sources, the battery system is modular and can adapt to demand by adding modules (or even removing them). What's more, worn or damaged modules can be replaced with new ones, or even with new technology, depending on availability.
One of our battery suppliers has increased the capacity of its modules from 37 to 41 kWh by adopting liquid cooling. As a result, vehicle capacities have increased from 37/74/111 kWh to 41/82/123 kWh, a gain of over 10%.
This enhancement is made within the same volume and weight (including cooling), thus maintaining the vehicle's performance level. What's more, the module's packaging is identical, simplifying integration into the chassis; only the liquid cooling needs to be adapted.
Nearly 600 km range
With this battery upgrade and considering an urban WLTP profile, ranges are now 195 km for the 41 Wh version and 584 km for the 123 kWh version.
